Delhi Metro Expands Services: 40 Additional Weekday Trips Announced by DMRC

NEW DELHI (Metro Rail & Steel): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a expansion of its services, with 40 additional weekday trips scheduled to commence from 25th October. This move comes in the wake of the recent invocation of Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP)-II measures aimed at combating rising pollution levels in the national capital.

In a statement issued by the DMRC, it was revealed that the Delhi Metro will introduce these extra train trips on weekdays, specifically from Monday to Friday, throughout its extensive network. The primary objective behind this decision is to encourage increased public transportation utilization among passengers residing in Delhi-NCR.

Traditionally, the Delhi Metro executes over 4,300 trips daily, efficiently connecting the city and its neighboring regions. With the introduction of these 40 additional weekday trips, the DMRC aims to enhance the convenience and accessibility of its services, ultimately facilitating an eco-friendly mode of transport for the ever-growing population of Delhi and the National Capital Region.
