Bengaluru: Bosch Campus to Link With Metro Station Via Underground Walkway, Offering Convenience to 12K Employees

BENGALURU (Metro Rail & Steel): In a strategic move to enhance connectivity and convenience, Bosch has inked a significant agreement with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) for the construction of an underground walkway. The walkway will directly connect its Lakkasandra campus to the Lakkasandra Underground Metro Station on the Pink Line of Namma Metro.

The agreement entails providing access from the concourse level of the metro station to Bosch’s premises through an underground walkway for a duration of thirty years. This development is set to benefit over 12,000 employees at Bosch’s Lakkasandra campus, removing the need to cross busy roads and improving their metro commuting experience. This innovative collaboration between Bosch and BMRCL is a significant step towards easing commuter access and marks the first such agreement on the Reach 6 Metro Line from Kalena A to Nagawara.

In a parallel effort to enhance user experience, IKEA recently inaugurated a dedicated foot overbridge at Nagasandra metro station. This bridge directly links metro users to the IKEA store in Bengaluru, aiming to attract nearly five million visitors annually. With an investment of ₹3,000 crore in Karnataka, IKEA’s Nagasandra store features an extensive range of home furnishing products across 12.2 acres, offering comfort and safety to visitors from various parts of the city.
