IITF 2023 Tickets Now Available at 55 Delhi Metro Stations for Hassle-Free Access

NEW DELHI (Metro Rail & Steel): The much-awaited India International Trade Fair (IITF) is back in Delhi, set to unfold from November 14th to 27th at the Pragati Maidan. To facilitate easy access for visitors, entry tickets will be made available at 55 metro stations managed by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

According to reports by PTI, the DMRC confirmed the ticket sales schedule, with sales commencing on November 14th for “business days” (November 14th–18th) and from November 19th for “general public days”.

A statement released by the DMRC specified that tickets will be exclusively sold at selected metro stations, including Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda), Dilshad Garden, Shahdara, Inderlok, Netaji Subhash Place, Rohini West, Rithala, Noida City Centre, Mandi House, Kashmere Gate, Barakhamba, and others.

However, the nearest metro station to the IITF venue, Supreme Court metro station, will not sell tickets to prevent overcrowding and ensure smooth passenger flow during the trade fair period. The tickets for both business and general public days can be purchased from customer care centers of these 55 metro stations from 9 am to 4 pm daily.

Expecting a grand showcase, around 3,500 exhibitors from India and countries like UAE, Iran, and Thailand are gearing up to display their products during the 14-day trade fair at Pragati Maidan. Additionally, representatives from 13 countries will participate in the event, spanning various sectors.

Various central government ministries, public sector units, and commodity boards including the Department of Income Tax, DGTS (Customs and Excise), Ministry of Ayush, Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India, RBI, LIC, and SBI will also take part in the fair. The fair’s timings are scheduled from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm daily.

In preparation for the event, Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory highlighting the roads anticipated to face congestion during the two-week duration. Roads including Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg, Ring Road, Shershah Road, and Purana Quila Road are expected to experience heavy traffic. The advisory encourages those not attending the fair to avoid these routes for a smooth commute. Moreover, certain entry gates will be designated for visitors, exhibitors, media personnel, and ITPO officials to streamline the entry process and ensure an organized event experience.
