On June 23, 2023, the Silica Reduction Plant at Steel Authority of India Limited’s (SAIL) Bhilai Steel Plant’s Dalli Mines will be virtually inaugurated from New Delhi by Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Minister for Steel and Civil Aviation.
The 60-year-old Dalli and Rajhara Group mines of SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s iron ore reserves are running out quickly, and a study revealed the requirement to refine iron ore of less than 1 mm size to attain the requisite grade for the Blast Furnace’s efficient use. The existing Crushing, Screening and Washing (CSW) wet facility at Dalli is in line with the Silica Reduction facility, which has a capital investment of about 149 Crore.
The project was completed with the assistance of numerous state government agencies, local government, and elected representatives.
