The ambitious project, with a planned investment of ₹2,600 crore in its first phase, is set to be commissioned by March 2025. TV Narendran, Managing Director of Tata Steel expressed his enthusiasm for the venture, emphasizing that the new Ludhiana facility is a significant stride in Tata Steel’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing. He added that it underlines the company’s commitment to becoming Net Zero by 2045, contributing to a greener and more environmentally conscious steel industry.

In addition to its contributions to green steel and sustainability, the Ludhiana plant is set to create employment opportunities in the region.
