Travellers on the Delhi Metro will no longer require tokens; instead, they can use their smartphones

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is currently conducting trials for a new phone-based QR code ticketing technology. This means that commuters won’t have to wait in long queues to buy tokens for transportation anymore; instead, they can do so just using their smartphones. The application for this technology is ready for use, according to officials, and they intend to launch it by the end of June after finishing the last round of testing.
