The DMRC announced that starting on Thursday, the operating speed of the metro trains on the 23-km-long Airport Express Line (AEL), which connects New Delhi to Dwarka Sec-21 through IGI Airport, has been increased from 100 KMPH to 110 KMPH.
According to the statement, the decision to increase train speed was made after the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) obtained the necessary consent from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS).
According to the DMRC, travellers can now travel from New Delhi station to Airport (T-3) in just 16 minutes thanks to an increase in operational speed to 110 kilometres per hour.
