Namma Metro : Pink line to become operational by March 2025

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) plans to begin commercial operations on the Pink Line of the Bengaluru Metro in March 2025.

The BMRCL has reportedly set a target of March 2025 for the start of commercial operations on the 21.3-kilometre-long pink line that runs from Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara. The Bangalore Metro is also constructing a 13.8km tunnel network from Dairy Circle to Nagawara as part of the pink line network.

At the MG Road station, the Banglore Metro’s Pink Line and Purple Line will connect, allowing daily commuters to experience a seamless journey.

Dairy Circle, Lakkasandra, Langford Town, National Military School, MG Road, Shivajinagar, Cantonment Railway Station, Pottery Town, Tannery Road, Venkateshpura, Kadugondanahalli, and Nagawara are among the 12 underground stations on the Pink Line of the Bengaluru Metro. The remaining 18 stations are located above ground.

The remaining six stations—Kalene Agrahara, Hulimavu, IIM-B, JP Nagar fourth phase, Jayadeva, and Tavarekere—will be elevated.
