Onam Special: Bengaluru-Chennai Special Trains announced by Indian Railways

The Indian Railways has announced three special trains to cater to the increased demand for travel during the Onam festival. The trains will run between Chennai and Bengaluru and will operate weekly from July 30 to August 20.

The first train, SBC MAS FEST SPL #02608, will depart from Bengaluru at 6:20 AM on Wednesdays and Sundays and arrive in Chennai at 11:55 AM. The second train, MAS SBC FEST SPL #02657, will depart from Chennai at 11:00 PM on Wednesdays and Sundays and will arrive in Bengaluru at 4:40 AM. The third train, YPR MAS FEST SPL #02577, will depart from Bengaluru at 11:20 AM on Wednesdays and Sundays and arrive in Chennai at 6:30 PM.

All three trains will have 22 coaches, including 12 sleeper coaches, 6 general coaches, and 4 AC coaches. Tickets for the special trains can be booked online or at railway booking counters.

The Indian Railways is expecting a surge in demand for travel during the Onam festival and has announced these special trains to help meet the demand. The special trains will provide an additional travel option for people planning to travel to Kerala during the festival.
