Namma Metro services will be curtailed on two sections of the Purple Line for one month

From 9 July to 10 August in Bengaluru, metro service on two segments of the Purple Line will be impacted by signalling and other maintenance work.

According to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), there won’t be any Metro services between the hours of 5 and 7 am between the Baiyappanahalli terminal, Swami Vivekananda Road Metro station, Krishnarajapura (KR Puram), and Whitefield (Kadugodi).

But from 5 am to 7 am, trains would run back and forth between Swami Vivekananda road metro station and Kengeri. Regular train service will be available between KR Puram and Whitefield as well as the metro stations of Baiyappanahalli and Kengeri after 7 a.m.

Since the KR Puram-Whitefield Metro stretch was opened to the public, approximately 30,000 passengers have been utilizing the line daily. However, travellers have been forced to rely on feeder bus services or alternative transportation methods to reach KR Puram station after disembarking at Byappanahalli due to the missing link between KR Puram and Byappanahalli.
