Good news for travellers as the Greater Noida-New Delhi metro project might become a reality soon. The Uttar Pradesh government and the Yamuna Motorway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) have recently received a detailed project report (DPR) from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the construction of the Greater Noida Knowledge Park-2 – New Delhi segment.
According to the DMRC report, there should be over seven stops between Knowledge Park-2 and the New Delhi metro station.
According to multiple media sources, project authorities have notified that the DPR has now been submitted to the Uttar Pradesh government for evaluation and final approval. The state government was given the comprehensive report for the Jewar Airport and Knowledge Park-2 area, and approval is still pending.
Additionally, YEIDA is in charge of building a high-speed metro system to link the future Noida International Airport in Jewar with the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. This system’s goal is to make it easy and quick to commute between the two airports.
In an interview with a media outlet, the CEO of YEIDA, Arun ir Singh informed, “The DPR for Knowledge Park-2 to the New Delhi section has been submitted 5-6 days back. We will wait for the government’s approval and directions for further advancement on the project.”
