The Delhi Metro and the Lucknow Metro were celebrated for their excellence in public transport during the concluding day of the Urban Mobility India Conference 2023 on Sunday. Both metros were bestowed with the prestigious award in the category of ‘Metro Rail with Best Passenger Services and Satisfaction’, according to officials.
A senior official of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) proudly announced, “Delhi Metro today received the ‘Award of Excellence in Public Transport’ in the ‘Metro Rail with Best Passenger Services and Satisfaction’ category at the 16th Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo, 2023.” This remarkable achievement was promptly shared on social media by the DMRC, highlighting the recognition of their commitment to delivering top-notch passenger services.
The three-day Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo, 2023, came to a successful close in New Delhi on Sunday, hosted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The event provided a platform for transportation experts to exchange ideas and discuss the future of urban mobility.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) clinched the award alongside the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC), which currently operates the Lucknow Metro and the newly introduced Kanpur Metro. A senior official of the UPMRC proudly commented, “The UPMRC received the ‘Award of Excellence in Public Transport’ in the ‘Metro Rail with Best Passenger Services and Satisfaction’ category for Lucknow Metro.” The accolade was presented to the Lucknow Metro for its distinct and passenger-centric measures and innovative policies aimed at providing a superior commuting experience.
