Indian Iron and Steel Industry earned 2 nd place in being the world’s largest steel producer in 2019. India’s production of crude steel has increased by 4.9% from what was recorded in 2017. The Iron and Steel Industry is governed by the Ministry of Steel which is an executive branch of the Government of India. The ministry is presently headed by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
